I have noticed that the last 3 topics posted on the Canadian section have had a toral of 407 visits with 11 replies, or just less than 3%. I am curious as to how many visitors to this section are Canadian and then more specifically from Ontario.

Kathy here, from Miami, Florida. I came in through the back door down at the bottom, where the specific forum is not identified, merely the topic. You said "take a second", I answered the call. Hope it's not an intrusion, and don't you think SOMETIMES brevity is overated?:oops:

Steve, I have been to Peterborough many times and can't for the life of me figure out what it must have taken to drag you to Southern California (the money must have been huge). You must miss the snow, cold, rain and sleet though, they're just not the same looking at them on-line or on T.V.

I heard your new home town just ran a contest where the winner recieved a free week in Peterborough....

Second prize was 2 weeks!!

I am of course just kidding, Peterborough is actually a beautiful town with an amazing waterfront area and some of the finest, friendliest people you will meet!!

Cheers

Huntington Beach Ca, ...if you read the forums like I do, which is by topic not by region, and more specifically that little box in the bottom right that tells me what has been posted on recently,...and then see a topic called "take a moment"...that might be why your numbers are so high...that isn't to say that their aren't any canadians on here....but that is just a possibility..

Steve I have not played in Peterborough as of yet, but I will definately get there over the next while. We are working hard at Racquetball Ontario to increase our numbers and Peterborough is a strong community which can only help us in that growth.

Spidey, were you at the pro stop here in October? I was in charge of the drivers getting everybody to and from the airports, I played as well, but no where near centre court!!

Jackie, I actually thought the numbers were low, not so much in hits but I was hoping for more replies.

You folks do an awesome administrative job out here by the way, this is a great place to be!!

yeah I was there in October. I know there were a few TV cams around but I was the one in the top tier of the stands with the camera. The banquet was nice ... my son was with me so I had to cut the evening a little short. Next year well have to go out for a few cold ones {dance}

I was also there back in 98 I think ... a friend of mine was getting married in Toronto so I stopped there to play some games with my good friend Jeff Anthony ... think that was before Jeff grew that chip on his shoulder :-s Got to look around a little ... beautiful area ... thinking of bring the fam up there for a little camping vacation this summer ... any suggestions that aren't too far from there.

you should try and make it out to peterborough but i think u will be very dissapointed..there is only one court in the whole city and there is absolutly no viewing. there is a strong community of players though, with quite alot of juniors. but because of the facilities its hard to keep people playing.

its nice to hear that ur trying to promote the sport. did you go to the st patties tournment in burlington a couple of weeks ago? my brother played and said there wasn't even an open division, was that planned or was it because no open players were willing to play?

thats a good point about jeff anthony, what happened with him? when i was playing as a junior he was a very positive influance. i stopped playing for about four years and came back and he was gone, and alot of people didn't seem upset by it. he must have a had a major falling out with somebody.

glad to hear of your positive influence from Jeff ... think Jeff was much in love with the sport and then had his heart broken and never quite got over it. He still posts on ASR occassionally to trash the "establishment" ... think he just went about it in the wrong way.
