I just posted my cry for help in the Northeast Regional forum....so this is my second official post.

Just looking for some CT residents who play the best game on earth to get some games together. I've been playing for about two years now, at an intermediate skill level and can play whenever!

What kills me is that the Connecticut Racquetball Association's contact is right here in the town I currently live in....yet....NO ONE AROUND HERE PLAYS!!! Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places. And if I am....I hope you players that are hiding find me in here!

Live for the kill!

If you are near S.Windsor, go to the LA Fitness, you can get the address from www.lafitness.com.
Paul Smith runs the RB program there, he's a nice guy and could hook you up with people to play.

Thanks for the suggestion! South Windsor is about 30-40 minutes away from where I am, so that's no bad. I'll have to make a trip!

Thanks again! Much appreciated!

No, in Middletown (just moved back to CT from PA). I used to work in Manchester many moons ago!

What kills me is that I have access to a FREE court anytime and I have no one to get a game going with!!!

Are you in CT?

Dude...AWESOME!! I'll be in contact soon!!!

Right now I just play with a friend who I'm trying to get back into shape (kid let himself go to 240 pounders.....he can move on the court though! Lasts only about 3 or 4 games at a time though). So yeah, I'm looking to play anyone, anywhere at this point.

At about what skill level are you guys at? I would say I'm intermediate I guess. Been playing for just over 2 years now.

Take it easy!

Not at all. They are pretty much on opposite sides of the state. The Stamford/ Greenwich area is where all the CT money is! AHAHAAA Your cousin must do well! From where I live, Manchester is about 30-40 minutes, Stamford is about an hour in the other direction.

Hey G and CT area folks. I've played around the state pretty much. I'm new to the forum too. The Stamford YMCA gets some decent players, the Middletown YMCA is hit or miss and seems to have more ping pong players... Now I’m down in Mystic playing at the SUB base, Coast guard base, and potentially soon W.O.W in Waterford.
Near you a place to check might be "Health trax" in Newington 860.666.8451 . It use to be a "New England Health and racquet" and is where I grew up playing and watching my father. When the outdoor Hartford thing gets going give me a shout or put up a post. I would like to check that out. Where are those courts exactly?

What's up Dave!

Sounds like you get around man! That's awesome! My thing is...I HATE paying to play (as I would imagine anyone would). There's a FREE court right here where I live, but I can't find anyone to play with. The only couple I know that plays doesn't play until later in the evening and that doesn't really work for me.

I think I know where that NE Health and Raq is, haven't been there though. Haven't been to the Middletown Y either. Also, I didn't even know there was an outdoor Hartford thing! I'll have to do some research today at work!

If you're ever in the Middletown area....drop me a line man! I'm always down to play!

I'm going on two weeks without playing!! PISSED!! I'm way out of practice!!!

Later,
G

Oh you must live in west lake perhaps. they have a condo with a court. I use to play there too until I forgot the code, haha. yea I’ll be looking to play more in a few weeks, I’m around on the weekends. I have to focus on winning the playoffs in the league I’m in right now so I’ve been practicing with a certain guy who plays a similar style to the competition I will be facing. Thanks for the offer, I will check back with you then.

Spot on dude!! West Lake = condo heaven!! I HATE IT HERE!!! The only saving grace is the rball court - but I've only used it maybe 7 or 8 times with a buddy from Wallingford.

Let me know what's up in a few weeks!
