I dunno, Jackie?

We just got our Internet connected yesterday. Still haven't unfinished packing...been an overly busy 3 weeks for us. Glad it's winding down!

I Did receive another application from a Junior that will be Octobers JOTM.

Septembers JOTM was Kaeli Rodriguez, her write up is here.

Octobers will be:

unior's name: Isaiah Motz

Age: 13

Address: 870 Tab Roberts Road

Lawrenceville, Ga 30043

USA

Phone Number: (770) 237-3391

Parents Names: Eugene and Lydia Motz

How long have you been playing: 2 Years

Accomplishments (I.E. Tournaments played in, won, etc. Awards given)

I have played in a couple of tournaments and won some medals and trophies. I have held leagues and demos at our local club and hope to continue doing good for the sport.

Tell us something cool about yourself

I am one of five kids and my parents are from Romania. I speak Romanian and English at home. I like to stay in shape and be active.

What would you like to accomplish in racquetball?

I am currenty training with my coach and I hope to be on the pro tour when I am 17. My goal is to be the best that I can be at racquetball and continue to train mentally and physically. I hope to find new ways to promote racquetball and grow the sport. I try to get more juniors from my school to play racquetball and alot of them love it!

How'd you start playing the game?

On my birthday my parents got me a membership to our local club. I was so excited so I went to the gym the same day. I walked in and I could hear the sound of the racquetbal hitting the wall. Little did I know that the sound of the racquetball hitting the wall will be my favorite sound very soon. So I walked in front of the racquetball courts and stood there watching a game. I was amazed at the speed of the ball and the players! I went home that night and asked my Dad if we can go to local sports store the next day. He said of course and I was so happy. I went into the store and chose a racquet. It was a really cheap one but still awesome to me! I played the next day in the gym by myself. A local player came in and said "Do you wanna learn how to play racquetball?" I said "sure!" From that day forward I played racquetball every single day and it was a blast! I slowly got better and better. I hope to continue playing racquetball for the rest of my life.

Other interests, sports, or hobbies

Some of my interests are thinking of racquetball angles and things like that and drawing them on a grid of a racquetball court. I like to also play chess with my dad in my spare time. Other than that I concentrate on my school work and play alot of racquetball!
