Justin (15 years old) and Ryan (13 years old) Ivers of Murrieta California have only been playing for five years, yet, when asked what they want to accomplish in the sport, they both say becoming a pro is on their agenda.
Introduced to the sport by their father John, they started playing competitively about a year and a half ago. Traveling from San Diego to Orange County to compete, accompanying John to various tournaments.
Racquetball accomplishments for the Ivers brothers are a plenty as well. Ryan just recently won his division in the Jason Mannino Shoot Out, as well as Boy Scout Tournament, and One Shot tournament, currently he is ranked fourth in National City which is composed of 40-50 juniors.
Justin finished first place in his division at the World Outdoor Nationals and is currently seeking sponsorship from Head or Pro Kennex. When asked about his accomplishments on the court Justin replied “I’ve won about 10 tourments, I’ve won some money”, and added that he loves to play racquetball.
But Racquetball isn’t all that keeps the Ivers family hopping. Both of the Ivers brothers play baseball, and “have been playing for years.” Justin can also add Wrestling to his athletic resume as he participates on the High School Wrestling Team. Ryan can rarely be seen without his board, according to his mom “he takes it every where.”
Congratulations to the Ivers brother’s for the standout accomplishments and continued playing of this great sport – Racquetball! The Ivers Brothers will be receiving an Ektelon Racquet, One Shot Gear, and a $15.00 gift certificate to the Meetandplay.com store! Congrats again!
I didn't get to see him play at the WOR Championships this year but do remember seeing him. Congrats. Have you tried calling Robert Martinez regarding a Pro Kennex Sponsorship?
