Meetandplay.com July and August Junior of the Month – The Ivers Brothers
Justin (15 years old) and Ryan (13 years old) Ivers of Murrieta California have only been playing for five years, yet, when asked what they want to accomplish in the sport, they both say becoming a pro is on their agenda.
Introduced to the sport by their father John, they started playing competitively about a year and a half ago. Traveling from San Diego to Orange County to compete, accompanying him to various tournaments.
Racquetball accomplishments for the Ivers brothers are a plenty as well. Ryan just recently won his division in the Jason Mannino Shoot Out, as well as Boy Scout Tournament, and One Shot tournament, currently he is ranked fourth in National City which is composed of 40-50 juniors.
Justin finished first place in his division at the World Outdoor Nationals and is currently seeking sponsorship from Head or Pro Kennex. When asked about his accomplishments on the court Justin replied “I’ve won about 10 tourments, I’ve won some money”, and added that he loves to play racquetball.
But Racquetball isn’t all that keeps the Ivers family hopping. Both of the Ivers brothers play baseball, and “have been playing for years.” Justin can also add Wrestling to his athletic resume as he participates on the High School Wrestling Team. Ryan can rarely be seen without his board, according to his mom “he takes it every where.”
Congratulations to the Ivers brother’s for the standout accomplishments and continued playing of this great sport – Racquetball!

Hi Jackie, Thank you for selecting them for Juniors of the month. Here are hopefully some more in depth answers to follow up on what they submitted. Justin is 15 and Ryan is 13. They have pretty much grown up around racquetball as their dad, John, has played for many years. They just recently, within in the last year or so, started playing competively. Both Ryan and Justin play in the local LA Fitness league. They also play in local tournaments whenever their dad plays in them. We live in Murrieta, so they play in tournaments from San Diego to Orange County. Ryan recently won the Jason Manino shoot out in San Diego. This month justin just came in first place in the WOR junior nationals in Huntington Beach CA. Justin is actively seeking a sponsor from either Head or Pro Kennex.
Both boys play various other sports. Justin is on the High School wrestling team. They both love baseball and have played for years. Ryan's other hobby is skating. He never goes anywhere without his board.
I hope this info. helps. Thank you again for considering them. Let us know if you need anything else. Also, here are some pics. Thanks, Linda Ivers.
