Back home and I feel like it all went too fast. There are SO MANY people I want to thank for so many things. Allan did a great great job and should be proud. THIS was an EVENT! So much thanks to him and his team...who are so many to mention I'm sure I'ld forget someone...from Hank, Brian and Steve (and all the volunteers who reffed, cleaned up, set-up...etc for the etc.), Thunder, Jimbo and their crew...amazingly cool how they took care of everybody...Son and his posse...just a great collection of people with the same vision. This kid from NYC is sad its over. :)

Play: Spectacular.
By far from what I've heard and experienced the best first day of match play in a long while...it seemed like ALL the courts had tough matches going on...I was running around trying catch as much as possible...how does SWAIN vs TUCKKER sound for a first match? Wow. Well that set the tone for Friday. Upsets, comebacks and battles. All Day.

Big Show:
Each division had great play...and I got to see a lot of it. I'm humbled by all the women, teens, younger players and pros.

Individual Top Guns.
Lets face it. These guys make noise heard around the country.

CLIFF: This guy is by far the the most amazing player in the country when you look at the cross section of play from indoor to ALL outdoor types of play. He does it all and at the highest levels. The guy is ridiculously gifted.

Rocky: Top of the game. His ability and smooth style has an answer for everything. Focused.

Clubber and Solis: Talk about focus. They brought it this year. I knew they were bringing it this year...and I was still impressed. I like these guys.

Notables: This is a large group...guys who just at some point made strong impressions for play, smarts and drive. Mike Peters, Ken K., Zues, of course Rubes, Elli, McMasters, and I'm starting to get lost in my thoughts...there were just so many impressions. And many thanks to all those that took the time to help me with my game...you all know who you are.

And to the young guns that traveled from Northern Cali and New Mexico...Steve and Mark, Evan and Marco...and their supportive cool families. The sport looks good.

I want to write more...but I think everyone gets it.

Thanks so much to the whole crew.

From everyone I have had a chance to talk with, the feeling of a great tourney had by all seems to be the them of this year's championships. Freddy I am so glad you decided to make it out, I know you were undecided and I look forward to seeing you in Cali again for future tourneys. I truly believe that next year's tourney will be even greater as everyone's efforts will compound into next year.
