Yes, thank you.

Looks like Willie HAS been practicing. :-k Guess that makes it somewhat less evil that there's no reddio. :frown:

Zeus over Reuben, Willie over Zues. Didn't Willie play A's last year? Maybe this will get even more interesting.

Willie won A's last year. A lot of indoor open players play A's when they start playing outdoor.

Your reply suggests I was criticizing him for playing in A's last year (you defended his actions, hence the implication they were being attacked.) In fact the emphasis of my comment was on the fact that he seems to have made considerable improvements if he is advancing through the Open draw with impressive wins when this is his first year in the Open.

thank you again for the updates.

BTW, we don't have many new indoor players playing outdoors. How about you? If a lot of them play A's first time, must be getting a good showing. Wonder how many entries the A draw has this year.

No critisism here.
It's quite common for an Open player to play A's when they just start playing outdoor, and that might be where they belong. Depends on the level of player.

I don't know about nationals, but there were a few indoor players who played at regionals, making their outdoor debut.

The A division is missing one key player this tourney. I've heard it is a good draw. Rhonda R. played men's A's and lost in the second round. That's a tough draw.

Willie got his butt handed to him in the semi's by Rocky lol. He's in good spirits about it though. He wasn't even planning on playing because he didn't want to lose first round. Not to shabby making it to the semi's and if you have to lose to someone...better it be Rocky than me :) Cause I'm darn dangerous :)

Swain did beat Solis. There were a few questionable "non calls" in the first game, and then in the last point of the second game, that was questionable too...

Yeah, it just kind of depends on where they are at, how easily they can adjust, and how intelligent they are. I'm not even sure if we'd have an a division down here, it's just mainly a bunch of older open players. Plus, we only have a handful of guys that play indoors, but they are the top players both indoors and out. Sounds like Wilie made the transition very well, so now he's got an excellent resume, with singles, doubles, and outdoors. Not bad.

Yes, Jackie, it would be pretty sad if Willie were beaten by a women's C player. Maybe for the sake of the forum you should be sure not to publicly embarrass him like that.

Sounds like you had a nice time. Were there many people signed up?

Willie played awesome against Zeus!!! Congrats on making the semis!!!

Clubber/Solis were too much for Peters/Jesus, but these two guys played great against Swain/Tucker and won 11-10 in the breaker!!!

Rocky/Hoff beat Elli/Gonzalez in the other semi in a close two games

That doesn't come as much of a surprise to me. Rumor has it you can't actually read, but have a personal assistant to keep you updated on forum conversations. :lol: But thank you for your opinion of my opinion of Jeff's opinion. =d> Where would this place be without diverse opinions. {bye}

Frankly I didn't read any either. I guess there must be some history here because as someone new to the forum, I've noticed many of your glass is half empty post, or reading way way between the lines seem unnecessary and off the mark/topic by a long ways. Again I'm new but it definately is not a good reflection on the usefulness of the forum and to would seem to discourage others from posting or worse leaving the forum. Food for thought.

Hm. Well spoken. But the usefulness of the forum is predicated on one's intent, and that varies widely from person to person. It works for me so far, and since you have identified my style as being counter to your personal goals, now you have the opportunity to simply ignore my comments. THAT'S why I like America.

And yes. You are new here. :)

Aye, Gdub, and its an admirable competitor indeed that jumps on top of a pile on! Truly, I tremble in the wake of such skills!

PS - do you play racquetball? I don't think I've ever heard a racquetball comment come out of your mouth, though I do always know who you are SITTING next to at a tourney!
