Ok, I know at this point in his career hes not just picking up where he left off several yrs ago. However, for one of the all-time greats and one of my favorite players how did the Sudmeister look?? There hasn't been much talk about his game or how he looked in NY tourney.

Rusty. He needs a few tournaments, but it will be interesting if he gets his edge back.

I watched some of his match on the IRT Network.

He will need a lot more then a few tournaments to look like his old self again and play against the top pros now.

I really wonder if this is something that is serious and that he is actually going to do the hard training and practicing to be on top again, or if it is just some kind of pay day where he shows up at the Major/T1 events and just plays in the qualifiers to get the fans excited.

I guess only time will tell.

I doubt having a full time job at Ektelon will allow him time to regain his former glory. I don't think he has anything to prove. If he's able to play all the tier 1's and have fun, maybe even win a few, why not play.

Hadn't heard about Suds working for Ektelon. Kind of an odd fit in that he was mostly a Head guy. Glad to hear it though. What's he doing for them?

This is one guy you would never bet against. Nagging injuries cropping up would be a concern.

In my book, more fun to watch than anyone but maybe Hogan and Kane.

Sudsy's high place in racquetball history is assured, and nothing that happens now can change that.

But history guarantees a Sudsy "comeback" today will yield little success and be short-lived.

I love Sudsy's game and having him on tour is a treat but there is NO WAY he is winning a T1 stop! unless the top 16 are not playing on it which is less unlikely than him winning.

Kind of like you with that shirt on in your picture. What I meant was win a few qualifier matches. My typo!

I see that Sudsy is not signed up for the Salt Lake Event so maybe the comeback is over?

At this point I am not sure why anyone would even care. Losing in the Qualifiers is not much of a draw. You also have to wonder why Ektelon and the IRT would send out all these e-mails saying he is back when he can't play any more.

I know that the IRT is losing players. I know that Kane wins everything. I know that there is a lack of young talent, but please spare me the he's back non sense. The tour is what it is, invest in the future not the past.

He's back in more of a Marketing role for Ektelon with a bonus of playing select IRT events. At least that's my take now from Team Ektelon newsletters etc... that Ive seen.

According to the King himself, Sudsy assured a bunch of us that his return to the courts is strictly to gain a competitve edge against the other brands in his new role with Ektelon. Sudsy said that he has no intentions of trying to be # 1,2,3,4 or 8 for that matter but if he can help Ektelon by being back on the courts, then that is what he will do. Email or facebook him. He answered me and many others from my club.

I am confused? The IRT is supposed to be a place for the best palyers in the world to compete. If Sudsy is not going out there to win then don't waste my time sending me emails about him being back. I have no desire to watch Sudsy get crushed in the Qualifiers.

How is it going to help Ektelon, when Sudsy can't get out of the first round. You know what, let Ektelon do whatever, it just reeks of desperation.
