I have somebody who doesn't like any of the current frames because they are too stiff and cause pain (due to prior injuries and surgery complications). Does anybody have a frame they like that isn't very stiff? We started with the Problem Child/Meanstreak and those were way to stiff so we looked at the Blackjack/Royal Flush but those were still too stiff for him. I'm thinking the E-Force Knife, but wanted to see if anybody else had this issue. Thanks.

I really liked the Pro Kennex HC2 170 (non-quad version). Seemed much flexier than other modern frames. I would also throw in the orginial KM 175 and Shadow series as very comfy/flexier frames. Outside of PK, last year's Wilson Blx frames were very comfy.

Yes, the Shadow is easy on the arm. Liquid Metal 170 also feels soft as butter to me.

The Shadows are great. The newer PK frames are great as well. The Quad 500
is a great stick. Some other frames you could try would be Wilson RX 170 or the
GB 126 from Gearbox

seems to me a different string and tension might be the trick. Today's frames are just not "soft"....

You can soften up a stick by stringing any kind of string at a lower tension, or use a soft string to begin with - natural gut being the "softest", followed by zyex and multifilaments. One racquet that is much less stiff than 100 percent graphite frames is the Gearbox 75 = it's about 50 percent graphite and 50 percent fiberglass - so it should transmit less shock than the full graphite frames. You can also take a stiff frame and fill the handle cavity with silicon (approx 40-50 grams worth) and the extra weight will absorb much of the shock saving your arm, wrist, elbow etc.
