2011 December Garden City Pro Am

This pro am draw is stacked!

Like ALL EXCITING PLAYERS!!!!!

Wish I could be there for this one.

Any fantasy picks?

Alvaro would be my pick but having to beat Ben Croft to get into the finals is the challenge.

Juan Martinez and Jake Bredenbeck is a great match up then playing into Shane Vanderson starts the draws out with some serious matchups.

Javier Moreno rounding out the top 4 leaves one to wonder who will win this event?

All 4 of these guys are capable of beating each other. No sure fire wins in this one.

Since Alvaro would only have one match before he plays Ben, he will likely be fresh enough to push him. I think it's going to come down to Alvaro avoiding skips and Ben consistently putting away set-ups. I'd pick Ben as a slight favorite.

On the other side of the draw I would pick Shane over Javier. Javier hits very hard, but Shane has great rekilling ability that will likely drive him nuts. Still.... anything can happen.

I haven't seen Jake play singles in a long time, but he's certainly a top up-and-comer, and should do quite well. I think he could certainly hang with Shane if he gets a chance to play him.

In the final I'd pick Ben over Shane, in 4, I think that Ben will make the extra gets and gut out the win.

What a nice pro draw for the folks in Garden City. They'll be treated to some great racquetball. Both semis, if they play out per the seeding, will likely be good matches, maybe even great matches.

The pro doubles final will also be special, either between the two top seeds, or any team that would upset them before the final.

I think alvi will beat Ben if he is fresh.
Moreno over Shane also...Shane is a hard pick because he is so unconsistent with his playing...

No, I must have logged in via my notebook as jwoolcock at some point in the past and I've posted enough with it that it hasn't reset. I'm not trying to disguise myself as either my brother or late father, don't worry.

John, nice 'picks' on the semis, Looks like Ben did edge out Alvi in 5 and Shane beat Javier in 4. I'm backing you up with Ben over Shane as my winner in the finals. Would be interested in your prediction of tomorrow's NFL game: Chiefs vs Bears ??
