I wonder if many of you have been watching the MAV TV broadcasts. I've seen 3 now......Kane v. Crowther, Kane v. R.Carson, and Crowther v. T.Carson (this last one just today). Overall, I really like them. The camera angle low on the left part of the backwall gives a real nice view of that line and the players' backhands. Today's broadcast had Shawn Royster, who is excellent, with Cliff, who is also excellent at the mic'. Earlier broadcasts had Shawn and Sudsy, and Shawn, Sudsy, and Cliff. Very nice job, all of them!

Any idea as to what the match-ups might be for these coming broadcasts?

FYI for all....I found MAV TV by accident when flipping channels one day. MAV TV on my cable network is channel 222, near some other sports-like channels, like NHL network, etc. It is a station formatted for the younger male-demographic, with lots of MMA and, oh, Bikini All Stars around midnight.

My experience thus far is that it's the same match-up each day. So, if you miss Tuesday at Noon, it might be same match later that day. I'm guessing that the later one this week will be a different match-up.

I'm going to set my DVR for all of these upcoming matches; thanks again, Jason.

I will watch today's Noon broadcast and let all of you folks in the Central, Mountain, and Pacific time zones know what the match-up is.

Today's match-up is the Rocky v. Shane quarterfinal.

Sudsy and Royster on the call.

Today, 11/22, has another MAV TV broadcast at Noon, EST. I'll inform as to the match-up. In case it isn't obvious, I think racquetball on TV is a [u]big deal.[u] This network is uniquely aimed at the young, male demographic, and this is a smart hook-up for the IRT. Frankly, I've been surprised at the luke-warm reception both in person (when I talk it up at our club) and via this forum.

The women's tour should take note. Perhaps a cable network aimed at the young female demographic would be a wise move for them.

Today's broadcast was excellent. Sudsy really shined on the call. He was honest about Ben's behavior early, especially towards an event sponsor. As Ben's performance improved, Sudsy stayed with that and all 3 announcers were quite complimentary of both players by the end. Cliff, to his credit, played off Sudsy's commentary and Shawn works well with both.
Sudsy is the best racquetball commentator that I've heard since Charlie Brumfield. No doubt their respective reigns as the best in the sport has a lot to do with their wisdom about the game. I'm looking forward to the remaining matches, and can't recommend them highly enough to all on the MNP Forums. I wonder if you share my thoughts concerning the quality of this broadcast? Dime in if you've seen them and have an opinion.

I would love to watch but can't...DirecTV. I'm not giving up DirecTV for Dish or Comcast (worst customer service since ATT, IMHO) and FIOS isn't available in my area. I honestly didn't even know the network existed until it was mentioned here. Glad everyone is enjoying the broadcasts.

I didn't either. After Jason's announcement on the IRT site, I found MAV TV flipping through my cable stations. I don't have the highest level subscription, but do have the enhanced sports package that gets me NFL, NHL, MLB networks. MAV is near the NHL station in the directory.

As I've noted, the broadcasts are getting better. I have been remiss not to commend Shawn Royster specifically for these productions.

Great job, Shawn!
