Wondering if there is an actual formality/fees of joining the WPRO or playing in the women's pro division (if there is a difference?). Let's say I have a "friend" who wants to play in her first WPRO stop at the US Open ... is it as simple as just signing up through R2 or would this hypothetical friend of mine have to "join the WPRO", as someone would need to join the USAR to play ... and I think there are also separate fees for the IRT (used to be, at least, I think). TIA
Hey, don't get me wrong ... I'm a team player, so long as you can keep up.

If your friend (ha ha) plays 4 stops in a year or less, she can opt to pay $10 per event -- to be a "temp" member of the WPRO. If she wants to be a full fledged voting member, then she needs to pay $100. Also, to play in any WPRO tournament she also needs to be a paid member of the USAR.

That's how it was last year; might be different this year, and would think you would get the best, most accurate answer from communicating with the deputy commissioner.

Thanks Denny, that sounds reasonable. My "friend" isn't old enough to vote yet so she'll just go temp-WPRO this year :)

Denny got it exactly right. If your "friend" wants to play in the pro draw at the US Open, she can sign up online through R2Sports. R2Sports will not collect the $10 temporary membership fee, we will collect that at the event.
