Laurel Davis, IL (Board Slate)

As a USAR Board member, I will aggressively promote racquetball for adults and juniors alike, with particular emphasis on growing women￿s participation and finding ways to bring the recreational college player into the adult world of racquetball. Many years of racquetball involvement plus 35 years in the corporate world make me a strong candidate for a Board seat. I am a corporate banker and work with many large companies. In addition to serving as a sales person to provide banking services, I serve as a consultant to help clients find the best way to efficiently manage their financial activities. In the ever-consolidating world of banking, I have been required to be an agent for change. I have managed large groups of people in my career and I know how to work with all types of people to achieve a common goal. I have been President of the Illinois State Racquetball Association for many years, and I am passionate about seeing racquetball thrive and seeing it represented in a professional way. I￿m excited at the prospect of serving the Board and its members at the national level.

Larry Haemmerle, CO (Board Slate)

Recently, I was honored with an appointment as Vice President of USA Racquetball. I am also actively serving on seven National Committees. I am confident we can provide better value to our membership at a reasonable price while fully supporting the diverse needs of our outstanding State organizations. The coexistence of strong and vibrant National and State organizations presents a real benefit to everyone. As a retired business professional, I bring many specialized skills that would be instrumental to the financial health and growth of our sport. I have served as a coach for juniors/adults, Tournament Director, and currently as the Vice President of the Colorado Racquetball Association. As an experienced player and volunteer, I have always supported the growth of racquetball and recognition of our athletes, particularly our dedicated professionals who represent our country. I have met the finest people playing and working within our racquetball community. We can accomplish great things in the future with hard work and commitment. I feel I have been a strong asset during my current tenure with the Board. However, I still feel there is much work to be done. I would be honored to continue to serve as a USAR Board Member.

Merijean Kelly, CA (Board Slate)

Racquetball has been an integral part of my life for more than thirty years, and I have been competing at the local, state and national level for much of that time. As my participation increased, to a great extent in senior/masters events, so did my involvement. For many years I have been on the Boards, in many different capacities, of the Women￿s Senior/Masters Racquetball Association, the National Masters Racquetball Association, the California State Racquetball Association and, most recently, on the Board of USA Racquetball, serving as Treasurer for the past year. If re-elected I will continue to work toward understanding the many complexities and facets of our sport and deal with each item/proposal without prejudice. I will continue to be open to the concerns of the membership as well as to the needs of the organization. The position is both challenging and interesting. I would consider it a privilege to remain a member of the USAR Board of Directors for a second term.

Annie Muniz, TX (Petitioner)

I am very excited to run for the USAR Board of Directors again. I served 6 years on the Board with the last few years as Treasurer and on the Executive Committee. During my tenure we began the process of eliminating the debt and operating the organization in the black. We restructured the USAR to operate more efficiently and effectively. I also served as President for the TXRA for almost 20 years. I have dedicated the majority of my life to racquetball. I have run State, Regional, National and International events. I have officiated at the World Championships as well as the Pan American Games. I would be honored and privileged to be elected to the USAR Board again. I do not take this lightly and am fully aware of the responsibilities and honor that comes with it. If elected, I would like to like to assist with the financial struggles that the USAR continues to endure. I believe a have a track record of making things happen and not just talking about them. I would like to be a part of taking our great sport to the next level.

Andy Pawlowski, FL (Board Slate)

I firmly believe that USAR Board Members should have both the skills and time to contribute in a meaningful manner. During my lifetime career with IBM I acquired a diverse set of skills in sales, marketing, education, consulting and corporate decision processes. I have worked with people all my life and have given back to the community in many ways including volunteering to help children, seniors and animals. I have been a USAR member for 30 years and the Executive VP for the Florida Racquetball Association and state contact to the USAR since 2005. I am responsible for web site content and communications to our members and guests. As a Team Wilson member and professional level AmPro instructor I have conducted many special events to foster racquetball. Maintaining and growing our membership is important to the USAR￿s future. It takes people willing to implement ideas to make things happen. While I have no magic bullets I have a passion for racquetball and believe that teamwork, synergy and grass roots efforts lead to accomplishments. With a successful career behind me I can contribute without a personal agenda and vote on issues in the best interests of our membership. Sincerely, Andy Pawlowski
