The new racquets from Head RB are on Racquetball Warehouse site. They look great and have some new design features and are supposed to ship in late May. Does anyone know if Gearbox is coming out with any new designs this year? I would like to see a 185g racquet in a tear drop from Gearbox for us "older arms"!

saw the new wilson blx on monday and got to hit it. it was the 160. they went back to the old head shape not so rounded at the top more like the rx and kaboom. it didn't feel as head heavy as the past ones more even balanced and the handle didn't feel as square as like the k tour. it was more like PK's handle. this had to be one of the lightest rac i have hit with very nice.

The frame shape and cosmetics look great but I can't say I'm a fan of the theme. I don't know why they have to borrow terms from another sport to be more appealing. And for $230, they should have an autopilot feature integrated into the racquet.

Just food for discussion, did anyone notice that Jack is not pictured with Rocky and Ben in the Head racquet advertisement on RB Warehouse site. For that matter neither was Shane.
I believe that Jack's contract is up this year. I heard talk about him thinking about retiring after this season. I sure hope he does not retire.

Thought the same thing about Shane/Jack missing in the ad. Maybe Shane will take his good buddy Mitch's spot with Wilson? :)

I believe that Wilson will definitely try to pick up one of these players as long as they stay on the tour. I have unfortunately heard rumors that they both have been contemplating retirement.

The new PK KM F165 looks pretty sweet. Interesting change to the frame design. May have to demo that one!

I agree, the 175 looks intriguing as well. Wonder what Wilson and Eforce have in the wings.

Does this mean the new Ektelon racquets will be out soon too??
The only details i can find of a new Ektelon bat is the EXO3 RG Toron that Gonzales will be using which has a 4200 power rating.

Ektelon is launching their new racquets during the "Ektelon" Nationals in a couple weeks, then will be shipping early June from what I understand.

Ferris - from the rumor mill Ektelon will have the Toron which you have seen. They will have the Attack (set up with heavy grommets), the Attack Lite (set up with light grommets), and the ReIgnite - a stronger Ignite. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks Deuce. So the 2 new Attacks are basically the current attack but set up with the different grommets which you could do yourself anyway? Be interesting to see the weight and balance of the Toron.

What would be the best replacement for the Ektelon Speedport? I like the weight, power and balance of this racquet but down to one racquet left.
Not sure about the shape of the new RG Toron, the Attack light looks too head heavy and the Re-Ignite looks too heavy overall at 180g.
The Attack from the current range may be a good bet maybe? As i'm in the UK, we can't get to test them out over here. HELP!!

The reignite is the closest to the speedport. You can get the Pro Lite frames from racquetskinz if you are looking for a lighter alternative. Also, the reignite may have more options by changing the bridges, so I wouldn't rule it out until the dust settles from Nats. One site is claiming you can put in the blue inserts and drop the wt to 171 g. You could also shave off weight by changing up strings and grips depending on your preferences.

The attack is an entirely different frame. It flexes a lot more, by design, and the sweetspot is not the same as a speedport. If you haven't tried the attack I would stay with the speedport, the toron, or the reignite. I heard the speedport cosmetics were getting tweaked, but it should still be in the lineup.

Personally I love the attack, especially with the light insert on top. Headlight balance, but still enough mass to have good power, and great control. I string it with premier 17g at 37-38 lbs, but that is just me. VERY different from the speedport/Ignite style.
