Folks that call the score IMMEDIATELY after a rally they have won. ESPECIALLY when it might be questionable they did win the rally. grrrrrr

That guy that uses the supermarket's "10 items or less" express lane to pay for a shopping cart packed with groceries.

Don SchopierayAdult players in upper skill divisions that treat kids that play in those divisions with little respect, this happened to my son in Houston, after my kid got beat in mens elite his opponent decided to charge at him, curse and berate him at mid court, the guy won the match no less,....lucky for the New Mexico opponent I wasn't there......that pisses me off.
How are we suppose to get kids interested in bigger tournaments with people like that around?

Don, hoping the "New Mexico" opponent you speak of is not RM. I've known him for many years and anyone that knows him would not believe an incident as you described would occur even if he was provoked. He's an avid competitor and competes in many State and National events. I've personally watched him win many clutch matches and walked out without a shred of celebration. I believe he is a top player in New Mexico. What were the circumstances if you do not mind sharing?
On a separate note, my personal reason for responding to your post is to ask why you used the wording "New Mexico Opponent". I'm hoping that was not meant to be berating or demeaning, or even a stereotype or profiling of an entire State based on one individual. This would be terrible for your son to live a life believing everyone in or from New Mexico is a bad person. I was stationed for many years in the great State of New Mexico's Air Force base. New Mexico is full of friendly people, many cultures, awesome climate, beautiful big true-blue skies. It's a place I would certainly want to retire to.
..........Not pissed.......just disappointed for now.

I used the "New Mexico" opponent because I really didn't want to put his name in the forum, nothing more, and no I didn't do it to cast a general description of New Mexico players, sorry if it sounded like that it wasn't my intent...yes RM was the player, and it has been described to me as borderline criminal...the kid is 16 years old, and almost beat him 15-1 loss 1st game 15-7 won 2nd game and 11-8 loss in the tiebreaker, many people at the club were in the guys face after the match about it. My kid in his own description (and that of many witnesses) was he thought that the guy was gonna hit him, the match was refereed and apparently the guy didn't like some of the calls and thought that the kid should over turn the refs call. Lets put it this way, he is coached by a high level proffesional player that heard about it from another pro that saw it, they were both disgusted by it. Hopefully the guy gets the message somehow that what he did is beyond the lines of competition, like I said...the kid WAS 16 YEARS OLD!!!!!!!!!!

Don, it just doesn't sound like the guy I know. He was a scholar and star athlete through college. As far as him being borderline criminal... he's a high level attorney (so that may be correct, j/k of course) and comes from good lines. What surprises me even more than an uncharacteristic outburst is that he did not return later and apologize.
I wish your son well, he deserves common respect and much more for competing at that level. I'm sure he's learned a life lesson and will model appropriate behavior during those trying times.
