When I was at Collegiate Nationals, they had the new Wilson racquets on display. The most expensive racquet retailed for $299!! That's a heck of a lot of money! However, I'm interested in learning more about the racquets. Their shape and design is completely different from any previous model of Wilson I've seen. Does anyone know where to find some of this information? Thanks!

Hopefully that's the over-inflated MSRP and not a real retail price. You price yourself out of the market at that level.

Bgriffiths99,

Can you give more info on the racquets? Colors and weights by chance? I hope they avoid using purple!

The new Wilson Racquets look great(no purple). The top racquets are the 175g Warlock BLX, which is gold and black; and the 185g Sword BLX, which is blue, black and some green. The next tier is the 160g Lockjaw, the 170g Rant, and the 190g Force. From what I understand these will be less head heavy than past racquets, and they have streamlined the head of the racquets similar to ektelon.

No 165? That'd be unusual for WIlson. Usually they go with a 165 and 175 for their two top tier racquets, and then a 160 and 170 for the next tier.

Well, I say usually...I've only been a Wilson sponsored player for a couple of years now.

Nothing up on the Wilson Racquetball website but their Tennis website http://tennis.wilson.com/rackets/blx/technology/ does have a description of some the technologies they will be using in racquetball as well. I haven't swung any of the new frames so I can't comment on the new frame design which is much different from seasons past. One good thing that Wilson did this year is switch up their weight offerings and give players a couple of racquets on the heavier end. The 165g racquet was unnecessary when you have 160 and 170g racquets.
