You need to find out who the Head RMC is in your state; California, by virtue of its size, may have a northern RMC and a southern RMC. Do you know any Head-sponsored players? Just ask them who the RMC is. Or you can send a little email to Fran Davis; Head@FranDavisRacquetball.com.
Tell her exactly who you are; don't just say you want a sponsorship. Tell a little about yourself, your racquetball experiences and how or why you think Head will be a better company if they agree to sign you.
Thx

Also helps to mention what kind of exposure you'll bring TeamHead by being sponsored...

ie: Are you involved in training others in Racquetball, involved in the Jr's program, did you create a racquetball program, do you teach racquetball at the local YMCA, are you on the tournament circuit, when will you have your B and A tournament wins, etc.

I think the first level is the preferred players program where you put up several hundred and get discounted equipment. Expect that level before expecting a full sponsorship.

Fran would know and be able to refer you to the local TeamHead rep.

Justin, are you going to the Junior Nationals? I'm 15 also, and I play in A's, I am sponsored by Team Head and Crew West Athletics. In order to get a sponsorship you have to tell them how your going to make a difference, and make sure to tell them that you will expose their racquets and equipment. Good luck to you and I hope to see you in Michigan. :cheesy:

Justin;
It may just be me and this has little to do with your determination or skill on the court, but I bet your chances of being offered a sponsorship go up if you write complete sentences, try to use proper, (or any), punctuation and position your verbs in their correct tenses.
Like I say, it may just be me.

It's not just you Joel. The way someone communicates with me (be it written word or verbal) sets either a good or bad first impression. And we all know you only get one chance to make a first impression.

Come on now..he's 15 and not going for a job interview here. He is probably use to typing and spelling incorrectly and using fragmented sentences from communicating with his friends through other chat rooms, IMs, and whatever else there is out there that I don't know because I am old at 34 yrs:lol: It is nice to see a junior interested in our sport. They are the future of our sport and the world {help}

Hey I'm 15 and I have great communication and proper grammer. When I know I am talking to adults I try to be very polite and sound like I know english. I do agree with you guys saying that communication and the way you talk to your elders is very important especially when you are trying to get a sponsorship.

At first I ignored your lack of proper sentence punctuation and failure to capitalize properly...

It all depends on who you are trying to impress / market to...

If you want to impress another 15 year old, you've accomplished that.

If you want to impress an adult that can help you get a sponsorship, then you'll need to act like an adult with your written communication.

It's not fair, but those who don't write in proper English are often thought to be stupid or perhaps even English as a 2nd language; even if it's not true. It's all about perception management.

I hope you can see your racquetball friends are not trying to criticize you, but rather help you realize how important your written communication must meet English standards to be taken seriously. 8-)
