I don't know who is responsible for getting this event out to the masses but i have to say. There is so much room for improvement.

The best part is there are many free ways to do this.

Junior Team USA. How much are we hearing about them? There should be articles out there daily about the players and their backgrounds. If you don't go to usaracquetball.com would you know Junior Worlds was about to begin.

Here is a short list of some good free marketing ideas that would help get the word out about our sport and this Grand Junior Event.

Article Marketing - articles on junior players and backgrounds on them would show up all over the search engines. When it was announced about the racquetball game for Wii there were articles popping up left and right the day it was announced and some days following. And some links were going directly to usaracquetball.com. When I put articles out there and submit them it shows up on search engines when searches are done. That doesn't cost me anything and there is traffic that comes back to our site.

Forums - easiest way to get your message to our small masses right now. Again...it doesn't cost anything

Blogs - need to get more blogs talking about the sport and this event. Got an email this morning on Google Alert on racquetball from our friend theracquetballblog.blogspot.com had his blog that came up for mentioning Junior Worlds. We need to get more blogs out there. There is no cost involved.

Squidoo - create a one page dedicated to Junior Worlds or Team Junior USA. Google LOVES Squidoo. There is no cost to do this and it gets racquetball so much exposure.

Video Marketing - get videos of some of these players with short interviews and get it on Youtube. More exposure for Junior Worlds and there is no cost involved.

Press Releases - what else can I say...this is the biggest Junior Racquetball event in the world. More free exposure.

Create a podcast or get on racquetballroundtable and get more exposure the players who do follow and care.

Lets tell the world how awesome this event is.

Sure you need volunteers. Truth is they are out there. Just have to find the ones that really care.

We don't have to make it harder than it is. We don't have to reinvent the wheel. We have to stay up with technology and times and go with it and put in the extra time and effort and find what works.

something will work.

I just am a bit disappointed I am not hearing more and more about Junior Worlds.

:-k For some reason World Juniors is not even visible under LIVE Tournaments on R2Sports.
However it is accessible. Here is the working link which I found on the IRF website;
