This is in doubles (though it could be in singles) and an individual is known for making noises sometimes during shots. The player claims they have learned to grunt playing tennis, however, they have been playing racquetball for over 15 years. The player does not make noises every shot but when the ball takes a weird bounce, the player makes a grunt. The problem arises when the grunt sounds like he is saying "Whoa" or "Ho" as in, "Whoa, I held up from hitting the ball for safety." Unfortunately, the tournament is self-refed and of course each team will side against each other.
The rules state: 3.15 Penalty Hinders
(f) Intentional Distractions. Deliberate shouting, stamping of feet, waving of racquet, or any other manner of disrupting one's opponent.
Now, you can't determine if he's deliberately shouting whoa, but if that causes the other team to stop in the middle of the point due to them thinking this person is calling a safety hinder when there isn't one then it should be a side out/point.
Also reference rule 3.14 Replay Hinders
6. Safety Holdup. Any player about to execute a return, who believes that striking the opponent with the ball or racquet is likely, may immediately stop play and request a replay hinder. This is call must be made immediately and is subject to acceptance and approval of the referee. (The referee will grant a replay hinder if it is believed the holdup was reasonable and the player would have been able to return the shot. The referee may also call a penalty hinder if warranted.)
How would you call this?
Alright, since the search function keeps screwing up for me I'm just going to post a new topic.
Does any one have any recommendations for back packs?
I'm looking at both the Gearbox and the new E-Force backpacks. I would like something with plenty of room for 3 racquets, shoes, balls, gloves and a change of clothes. I have a large wilson bag that I've had for over 3 years but it's now falling apart and I need a replacement. I'd like a back pack instead because I think it would be more comfortable carrying around and take up less space. Oh and I'd like something that will be extremely durable and the Gearbox looks like it will last a while.
The racquet has never been used and is still wrapped. It will be shipped with the cover at no additional cost. 170g with 3 5/8" handle.
I'm asking $110 (shipping included).

I just bought an E-Force Knife 170 for less than $100 shipped!
I've tried several other racquets from different companies but I keep going back to my 5+ year old Bedlam-X 170g racquet. I love the way it feels more than any other racquet I've used. I've tried Wilson, Head etc and even some of the newer E-Force racquets but I haven't found something comparable. I don't like the quadraform (whatever it's called) shape. I much prefer the teardrop shape. As time goes by it becomes more and more difficult to find the Bedlam-X racquet. I'd like to get a newer model which will be easier to replace if I break one.
Any suggestions?
Just wondering how often they update the rankings and results from r2sports/tournaments. I would think it'd be pretty easy to especially in the middle of tournament season. Nothing has been updated since 3 December.
Some background of my situation:
I purchased a brand new Head MX racquet from a fellow meetnplay member (will not disclose at this time) in January of this year. I've been using the racquet a couple times a week for about 2-3 months. I have never broken a racquet before but towards the end of April I hit an off-center shot and it broke about 1/3 of the way up on the head of the racquet (below the pivot point on these racquets). I am not a person that bashes their racquet on the walls or floor or gets pissed and slams their racquet. The racquet is in excellent condition otherwise.
There was an issue when I was originally purchasing the racquet from this member because they let someone else use the racquet I was going to buy and ended up breaking it. They made good on the deal and came through great when he replaced it and gave me a couple shirts as well. On May 9th I pmed him just to ask if there was still a warrenty or way to replace it since he got the previous one replaced but I still have not heard anything from him. I'm not trying to call him out but I'm not sure if I can get it replaced directly through HEAD or if they are able to replace it.
Thanks.
Just figured I'd see if anyone lives near Wellington/Ft. Collins. My wife and I will be moving the begining of Feb to FE Warren and we're looking for an apartment/condo to rent while we're there. I will be stationed on the base and my wife will be going to school at Colorado State. I would like to have a place in Wellington because it is halfway between FE and Ft. Collins. If we need to live in Ft. Collins I would like to live in the northern part near Mulberry St so I don't have to drive quite as far. Also, as a bonus I'd like a place with racquetball courts or some close by but I could live with playing on base.
I have checked at the normal places like rent.com apartments.com craigslist.org etc
Figured I'd give it a shot. Thanks.
I just moved out to the Vandenberg area and I'm looking for people to play. I'd say I'm a high C low B player depending on the day but I don't mind playing people that are better than me.
