Friends of the US National Team:
This is a sad note concerning a most dedicated teammate. Rhonda was walking near her apartment in Hermosa beach Saturday night when she was approach by two men. The two men attacked her, brutally beating her unconscious. She is in the hospital and will be there indefinitely. She will be undergoing operations to reconstruct the left side of her face. Her eye is swollen shut but tests show that her vision will be ok.
Please remember Rhonda in your prayers. How sad that this happened to a Rhonda, a friend to all and such an enthusiastic leader in our sport. We all pray for full recovery.

USA Racquetball
I went to visit Rhonda today, and she is physically beat up!!! Not suprising to those that know Rhonda, she still had her sense of humor and made me laugh a few times!
This incident was unprovoked and she believes it would've happened to anyone. She was simply at the wrong place at the wrong time. Police speculate that these guys were on some sort of drugs and or alcohol.
Her face is obviously swollen and her eye is swollen shut, but her vision is good! Reconstructive surgery will be next week. Doctors want her swollen face to heal as much as possible and then do the surgery. The police department is working on finding these two cowards. Rhonda does have insurance, but it will not cover everything. She will obviously not be able to compete for a while and will not be able to earn a living.
If anyone is interested in sending a monetary donation, please send a check payable to Rhonda Rajsich, and send it directly to me:

With the CPRT 35+ Division, I am now an "old guy!!!"
Blake: respect your elders!!!
I will be playing with Gary Martin, your DADDY.
Besides JesusX2, what other teams are competing?
Speaking of "old guys" (I say this with the utmost respect), Steve Cohen is in Utah with alot of "old guys" right now freezing his bootie off!!! Good luck to everyone out there!

I will be on the next show on Monday, the 21st at 8 PM PST.
Everything is Hollywood until they say "Go!" Multiple takes during interviews before and after, mostly because Hulk and Laila need it!!!
Most of the events were filmed late at night. The Eliminator was filmed between 11 PM and 4 AM.
The Eliminator is definitely tougher than it looks!
Nothing is scripted for the contestants, but they continually urge you to "talk trash." Those of you who know me, know that I normally don't. It just makes for "better TV."
I don't feel good or look good in spandex!!!
Hope you enjoy the show!!!

My apologies to everyone who may have already made plans to make this event; the IRT and WPRO. I am hoping to rename this event next year to the Greg Sheffield Memorial and again make this an IRT Tier 1.

Racquetball loses a loved one LA Fitness National Racquetball Director Greg Sheffield

November 25, 2007 - Greg Sheffield, the mastermind behind the racquetball scene at LA Fitness lost his battle with cancer this weekend. Greg was the real reason that racquetball has thrived and grown imensely at all the LA Fitness clubs around the country. His desire and passion for the sport has helped with the resergence of the sport of racquetball over the past few years. He will be deeply missed and our thoughts and prayers go out to Greg’s family and the LA Fitness family. -
Dave Negrete
IRT Commissioner
This has been a dream of Greg Sheffield's and I will be doing everything I possibly can to make it happen! I am way behind right now, as it was finally approved a week ago. Even on Greg's death bed, we were going over notes to make this event possible. I do not have much info at this time, but will definitely keep everyone posted on the progress. Please continue to pray for Greg's family and if anyone is interested in sending his family a card, please do so: Linda Haley and Holly Sheffield
