Good draws all the way around especially in the Open, A, Open Dubs and womans Open. Rhonda, Cheryl, Aimee in the woman's open. Andy & JT are the top two seeds in the Open.
I have to go play JT now, so John Clay is spiking is coffee for me, lol.

I'll try and update scores and stuff later on tonight when I get home.
Ok...So I recently got married...starting a new business...Haven't had as much time to play as I'd like, if you count once a week and just a few tournmanets over the past season as not having enough time. Argh! Since I'm not playing as much with limted time to get to a gym, my fitness isn't what I'd like it to be.
Anyway, I was looking for a piece of cardio for my home and I have wanted a Versa Climber ever since I saw one in a gym 15 years ago and tried it. Most brutal cardio workout you will ever do, period.
So, having a little extra money, I finally broke down and bought one. The only two negatives is you need 8 foot ceilings for it to fit since it's tall and it's a little pricey. But once you get on it, all that fades away. 20 minutes a day is the most sick workout I've ever done, and I've run and cross trained for years now.
I know I'm sounding so very infomercial-ish but I had to share my glee. I'm training to get back to top playing form for September. I've wanted one of these things for forever and it was well worth the wait.

Travis Woodbury is reffing or lineing from the right side glass?
When did this happen.
I've been climbing twice a week at a rock gym since February and I'm hooked.
I love it.
Trying to get outside soon, but haven't had the chance.
Definetly addicting like Racquetball.
Anyone climb, in any capacity?

With all the good news recently posted about Pro Kennex and their status in the US remaining strong, I wanted to thanks Jason for his continued effort to keep us up to speed as much as he could with what was going on. He's an integral part of Pro Kennex and I hope they realize that and reward him for it.
Pro Kennex wouldn't be the same without Jason leading the charge. I hope he's with them for a long long time.

Always great watching you play.
Hopefully you'll be visiting more often now that...well, you know.
Good luck the rest of the way.

First, thanks to Tom Keogh and staff for putting on a great event, I've never been to another tournmanet of any kind where matches were usually always "ahead" of sechedule. Awesome!
Thanks to Dave Negrete for bringing the IRT to NY, he is a class act and a great guy.
Jason and Alvi were great to watch. I think that second game which did end 16-14 may have taken a bit out of J, he came out flat in the 4th. He got back in the game but it was a bit to late. Alvi took some momentum into the 5th but J hung tough and pulled away. J had him 10-3 or 10-4 and then Alvi started ti chip away. He got it to 10-8 i think before J put him away.
Awesome win for Jason since I think Jack won it last year so he should gain some valuable points as they head down the stretch towards the end of the season.
Aimee Ruiz beat Kimi in the Womans open final. 2 straight I believe.
Ryan Smith lost to Andy Hawthorne in one semi, and Bobby Haab lost to Ben Croft in the other semi
Ben beat Andy in the Open final in 2 straight. I wanna say 15-12, 15-10 but those might be a bit off. It was close. I was reffing next door so I was getting scores as it was going.
Congrats to Ben as it was a nice full draw in the Open, 32 players I believe.
When was the last time you saw a Mens A draw with over 50 people in it? Or a B draw with like 45 players...Crazy.
Mitch Williams played really well this weekend. Sudsy just didn't look like he was into it that much, but Mitch played well against him and really well against Alvi, losing in 5.
Ben Croft was so close to knocking off Vanderson in the 16's...He lost the 3rd game 13-11 after winning the first 2. Just couldn't close the door. I've never seen a kid so skinny hit a ball so hard. Pound for pound, one of the hardest hitters playing. I say he's like 110, but he'll prolly argue with me and say he's like 140...Ok Ben...sure. lol.
Congrats to Joe Pallazzo for making his first Round of 16. Awesome bro. Ryan Smith also made the Round of 16. I'm not sure if it was his first. If it was, congrats as well. I got a chance to see him play and he's definetly got game.
Nice meeting some people who post on here. Glad to see people coming to and playing events.
Inside joke to John Clay..."Have you seen me play?"
Awesome weekend all the way around. I wish i could have played but oh well.
Congrats to all the winners this weekend, and once again to Jason Mannino who played like he always does, all out.

After persistant nagging pain, I had an MRI which showed a break in some cartilage that sits in the ankle joint. Most likely I will need surgery to correct the problem.
This season is pretty much a wash for me now.
I'm so pissed I can't even joke about it.

Well I finally go to see a foot specialist about my bumm ankle. X-Rays were negative. No break, no stress fracture. Just a bad lateral ankle sprain.
I was given clearence to start working out using as little non-impact cardio machines as I want, IE: Bike, elyptical machine. I was happy about that.
He also gave me a referral for 6 weeks of physical therapy twice a week.
He said what I have is nothing uncommon for someone who sprained their ankle 6 weeks later. He said it should heal and I'd be back to doing my normal thing pretty soon with the therapy and wearing the air cast he gave me.
Worst case scenario is that I have a tendon that won't heal properly and it ends up over stretched or elongated instead of wrapped tightly around the ankle. That requires Scoping my foot. But he really doesn't believe thats what I have. He seems to think in 6 to 8 weeks I'll be back to the races. If after 12 I'm not then it's the worst case thingy.
I guess I'm happy i didn't break anything and can start getting my fat ass back into the gym after an almost 7 week layoff. I just wish I could play ball. He said I could hit lightly and maybe play some doubles but no running around the court yet.
I'll miss the LI Open but if his sechedule is correct I should be healthy for the NYC Pro-Stop.
Cross your fingers...

I was sitting here thinking about goals. Everyone sets their sights on something at some point in their lives. Things you wanna do, things you dream of doing. I'm talking anything, not necessarily in sports, but in life.
I remember when all I wanted to do was be competitive in the A division. Then I got there and all I wanted to do was win a tournament in that division, since it 's one of the harder things to in amateur racquetball.
I did that, 3 times, and then my goal was to win an Open tournmanet.
Still trying to realize that goal. I haven't given myself a time limit on this. I figure I still have some time before my body starts disagreeing with me.
Aside from racquetball what other aspirations do you have. Do you have a Life List and if so, whats it say? Do you have a set time you'd like to do it in.
My list isn't in any particular order:
-Win an Open tournament.
-Get Married.
-Run...and finish the NYC Marathon...Before I'm 40.
-Get to the highest point in every State on the East Coast...Before I'm 40.
-Have kids.
-Climb the highest 2 mountains in Colorado and Mt Whitney before 2008.
-Perform a 1 and a 1/2 off a diving board.
-Travel across country...Before I die.
-Go to Italy, with my father.
-Run a 5:30 Mile...Best time is 6:37
-See a wolf.
-Actually find a job I love.
-Live in N Conway NH.
-Go to Austrailia.
-See a Panda bear.
-Play Piano
-Climb Mt. Rainer...before I'm 40
-Own a 69 COPO Camaro.
-Buy a house.
I'm sure the list will shrink and grow over time. As one thing gets crossed off, another gets added on.
The one that actaully started the list was climbing Mt. Rainer. It's one of the hardest in the lower 48 states and one of the most dangerous. It's really the jewel of the lower 48. About half who try actually make the summit. I love climbing and t's been a goal for a while but reading a book about it made me actually put a time stamp on it. I'll summit before I'm 40.
I think it's great to set goals and have faith in the achievment of those goals.
It's a great thing, and no great thing ever dies.
