I have several stringing clients who kept at least 4 racquets in their bags when attending tournaments. Some of these racquets were never taken out of the packaging. These players are going with the new EX03 Ignite models this year. These were bought extra to their sponsorship racquets and all have invoices from retail stores. Warranty time remaining is 6 months on average. One used model has no abrasions or scuffs on the bumper guard.
One SS grip new
One XS grip new
One SS grip used
New racquets are being offered at $130 + $10 shipping
Used racquet $100 +$10 shipping
Insurance and confirmation of delivery included in shipping cost.
These players have donated their other racquets to the JCMO juniors league.
In the last 3 years our juniors have recieved 5 03 reds, 3 03 Silvers, 2 DPR lites and several lesser level racquets. We hope to get a team to play in the High School tornament this coming year or the next. Getting high school girls to play is our least successful effort at this time. Anyone with suggestions on how to entice more girls to play would be helpful.

I received a request from a player that lives in Minn Mn. He needs to get his racquet, an Ektelon DPR, restrung and doesn't know where to take it. If anyone living in the area can make some suggestions I will forward them on to that player. I suggested sending it to Rex Lawler, but surely he can find a stringer there as well.
Thanks TomKat
There are a lot of great up and coming young men and women in the High School ranks of Racquetball. This year it was held in St Louis, MO, at Vetta Concord and MAC locations.
I was fortunate to be able to help with the Ektelon Sponsor Booth and string for any of the players.
I didn't get to watch many of the matches, but everyone came by the booth and visited from time to time. It was a great 5 days and I look forward to 2011 when it returns to St Louis MO again. Next year it will be in Portland Org.
What size string do you play with and why?
I use Prince 18 guage Syn Gut with Dura and it lasts forever for ME> I believe anyone else would trash it out in minutes. I use it because it hold tension really good and give me a tight string bed for a very long time. I string it in my 03White and 03 Black leaving out the two lower crosses and the very outside Mains. It really makes a big difference.
When you are shown a new string do you get interested? Would you restring this in your racquet , and play? I get a new set of string from USRSA to do a test with it. If it passes me it must be pretty good. If not I cut it back out and go on home.
I am play testing the Coil string from Prince just now and it's doing exactly what they said it would do. PRetty neet string. straightens the string so you don't have to. hmmmmm or does it? I guess I"ll see it once I play with it.

For those of you that have ever played a tournament in Rolla Missouri The first weekend of the NEW YEAR, the Annual Arby's tournament. The co owner of Vessels Gym. Mark Chirban passed this weekend with a heart attack. Co owner Peggy Chirban, sons David ,Nathan and staff can be reached at chirban@rollanet.org
There apparently will not be a formal funeral, perhaps a memorial later. More info as it is given.
Mark kept the Missouri website up and current for many years. He has a wonderful Gym to play Racquetball, and other exercising including martial arts. To see Mark, you'd never think a person in such excellent shape would have any health problem.
He was the epitome of a great host when you played his tournaments, always a big smile and something to say if you just lost a tie breaker. He will be sorely missed as I imagine he was very much loved by all.

Many of the top ten pros are sporting a patch of one kind or another with an energy enhancer brand. At the US OPEN the Advocare brand was brought up after the quarters and semi's and finals in the post interview. Some sort of energy booster is prevelant at every level of play these days.
What do you use? Do you think it is helping or do you believe it is all in the users head?
Not too long ago it was gatorade period, but now you can find a mirad of brands and supposed benefits galore. The ones with just a huge amount of Caffine have pretty much disappeared for ones with some sort of longer lasting actual benefit without a huge crash after a little bit of time.
Two years ago I was introduced to advocare products and have experienced , for me, a great change in my ability to play at my top level more consistantly with the use of Spark, Muscle Fuel and Post WorkOut Recovery. I have tried a few other brands, but haven't had the same or better results. HOW has these enhancers worked for you or why don't you ever give them a try to find out?
I use Advocare for more than just my game so I became a memeber to get the huge discount on my pruchases. If you are using other brands of similar products do they give memberships for discounted prices as well?
