I'm curious about the forum's thoughts on Kane's streak coming to a supposed end. It seems to me that although it is technically a loss, since Kane did play and walk off the loser, that it is hardly different than the WBF that Jack Huczek had over him the year prior (at this same stop). That is to say the loss had nothing to do with Rocky's performance, and the loss was entirely due to Kane's body failing, like his previous forfeit, which was not counted against him.
Am I in the minority here? Thoughts?
Hey Racquetball faaaaannnsss,
I just stumbled upon some new pro racquetball videos, featuring some olderschool players (Fowler, Fredenburg, Eagle, and even Swain)

Enjoy!
Hey everyone, I'm moving out to Connecticut in the near future and I want to know where's a good place to play at in the Wilton and Norwalk area, where I'll be working. I play at an Open level and prefer to play singles when possible, if that helps.
Hope to hear from someone soon...
Thanks!!
- John
I'm interested in knowing how current forum users were first introduced to racquetball, and what their current participation level is within the sport.
Thanks!!
P.S. - if anyone knows threads that already cover this subject I would appreciate a link, thanks again!
Some of the videos are mislabeled as Juan herrera that should be labeled Jack Huczek
Also, game one of Jack vs Rocky in Indiana is missing.

I just noticed that Racquetworld is carrying gearbox stuff now, which is a huge step for such a young company
BIG CONGRATS GEARBOX
and I thought likewise that I should remind all you trolls to check out their stuff there
Help!! I can't get racquetballonline to work
I use a MacBook, and the link always tells me that I need an additional plugin to play the feed. It tells me I need to manually install Flip4Mac 2.1, and I do, and the dang thing still doesn't work, and asks me to get the same plugin again.
HELP
Hey
everyone should check out the gearbox commercials @ gearboxrb.com under videos!
Hey Jman, what do you think of the new court? both playability and marketability wise?
when I was watching online it was really hard to see anything on the left side glass. which was my guess as to why Jack was shooting backhands down it in the semis and particularly the finals
Do the doubledonut galleries not work for anyone else? I sent an email but I haven't seen anything different to date
Hey, as anyone tried these yet? I just ordered some and I was wondering if there is anyone who has experience with them already
Hey Jason, quick question,
At the pro level, what do you typically go for an splats and pinches? For awhile I practiced all my pinches to be dead before the first red line, but in play I rarely do this, and also I seem to be effective even when the ball dies at the back of the service box, as long as it's before the sidewall.
What do I but as first timer?
Where from?
how do I knot?
how do I maintain tension?
HOW DOES THE WHOLE PROCESS OF STRINGING WORK?
Does anyone know when to expect the 2007 US Open gallery to be added to Double Donut.
Jman, it seems pretty consistant that the players with great speed have great power
Suds, Kane, John Ellis, Shane, and Cliff (at the very least he had amazing footwork)
just how big an impact does leg strength have on power for one's game? does the leg strength just allow the hips to drop lower, with more stability, and create more CONSISTANT power, or is it something more? Is it as simple as F=MA and the more M your A has the better?
a friend of mine always says "it's all legs and ass" , is this really true???
And if it does have a big effect on one's power game, how come you're not a power player?!
Hey, maybe this has bee covered but how come Jack is still playing with last years 180?
I've never heard of a fully sponsored player using an older model, it would also seem to go against the sponsorship, since you're supposed to show off the latest and greatest equipment the company has to offer.
This just seems very different, if not strange to me,
any answers, clues, ideas?
Jman sorry to hear about your injury, and I hope to see you playin with the best soon
Anyway that's not the subject of this thread.
I was watching the semis match against rocky and I noticed that you were a very aggresive shooter from 38 feet, and you were splatting quite a bit. I know you like to run people around until you get a set-up, do you call this a set-up? To me that shot selection seemed much more high risk, different from what I would expect from a consistency type player.
Is this style of shot selection standard for you? Or were you hitting them better that day?
Again, Good luck with your arm
Why don't you use this more often? I know you don't have the gas that say Cliff had but when I watched you in 2004 you seemed to produce a great angle on the ball and get some free points
A drive serve seems to be a mark of many successful pros, how have you managed to be so successful only using lob type serves??
would you recomend to young players a similar style of serve, lobbing and using solid basics to counterpunch?
