I just wanted to let everyone know that Jeff Garner from Birmingham, AL has passed away due to an apparent heart attack on Sunday. Many of you knew Jeff and his Dad Jim from the Junior ranks all the way through the Pro Tour. He will be greatly missed as one of the nicest people to play the sport.
I will post his obituary in that section soon but wanted to post here since he was a friend to all of us on the Tour. Please keep him and his family in your prayers as this was very unexpected.

So I would like to hear some comments from the MNP patrons on how they would fix racquetball in general to make it more popular. How could we as a community help take racquetball to the next level? I am not just talking about the pro game but the sport as a whole. We all love the sport but how could we get more people involved? Or how could we unite more players?
Any ideas on growing the grassroots? Just looking for your ideas or comments.

I thought it would be fun to see what you all think players on the IRT should have as their New Years Resolutions. Here's my humorous take on a few players:
Kane - To let someone actually believe they can beat me so I have a challenge this year.
Jack - To actually focus when players pull cheap tactics when I am winning and close the door on them.
Jason - To forget about the title chase and focus on taking the IRT into the next decade where players can make a true living.
Shane - Put down the beer and train like no one else so he can truly realize his potential.
Alvi - To get that bionic knee in shape to make a run at not only winning a tournament but a run at the top spot on tour.
Mitch - To develop another game style so his arm doesn't fall apart before he is out of his prime.
Ben - To refocus all the anger and channel it for good. Plus get a new contract that pays him what he is worth as a player.
Thoerner- To get back in the game at some point this year and have some fun.
And to all the players on tour - Add some more entertainment so it is fun to watch you guys play again. No more robots show some emotion! And a happy and more prosperous 2010!
Happy New Year to all of my fellow players.

Probably not the right forum for this but I know everyone reads the Mens Professional forum. So if anyone has his contact info I would like to get in touch with him. Thanks for the help!
And I can't wait for the new season to kick off! It might not be as cut and dry as some think.

OK I have to admit I was bored with all the other topics on here the past few days so I figured I would start this one. Who is going to win the US OPen next week in Memphis? Let the name calling begin:)

I just wanted to send out a huge Thank You to Dave for putting on the season, a great Pro Nationals and for putting up with all we do as players throughout the year. I know a lot of you rip on him here at MNP but you have to understand how little he has to work with and what a great job he does pulling things together. If Pro Nationals is any indication then great things are to come because of his tireless work for the tour. I know he would rather be at home with his family instead of flying all over the place trying to sign up new tournaments and running the current ones. So the next time the rankings aren't out immediately or you don't see the tour as much as you would like then step right up and take his place. I am sure he would love to just go throw a ball with his son or watch his daughter sing the national anthem somewhere.
Thanks for the hard work and all the things you give up to help improve the tour!
