We are visiting Huntsville the later part of this week and we'd like to find a place where we can play just for an hour or two while we are down there. It looks like Huntsville Athletic club will let us play, but it would be $20 each which seems kind of steep. Are there any other options where we can just pay to use a court for a few hours?

I just recently started playing a little squash. Will this mess up my racquetball game? Make your predictions here.
I skimmed through the new rules, but I didn't see this addressed.
What happens if the server calls out the score incorrectly right before serving? Is there any rule about this?

Hey everybody! I've been around lurking but not posting. I moved up from the C league to the B league at our gym and I'm having fun (actually won 2 matches so far). I'm taking a clinic with the local pro and learning things that are helping me.
I seem to have a mental block about hitting pinches though. This is a big disadvantage to me, of course. I say to myself, "hit a pinch, hit a pinch" and I just don't seem to be able to do it. I go up by myself and practice hitting them, but during a game I don't seem to be able to get my brain to connect with my body and get the shot in. 80% of the time I end up hitting it on the front wall, no matter what I tell my body to do. I know part of this is body position, but that's part of telling my body what to do.
Is this totally weird? Is there anything I can do besides just go up and drill, drill, drill?

Any idea yet what matches are going to be broadcast?
Thanks!

Is there any difference between men's shoes and women's shoes besides the sizing?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Do *you* change your grip between backhand and forehand? Just curious!
In the spirit of moving this forum up in the rankings, I'll ask a question that I could probably google or look up elsewhere.
If someone serves a z serve and it hits the right in the crack of the front wall and the side wall is that a good serve?
TIA!

Does a link show up for it in the main menu? I'm not seeing one, but I might be missing it.

So, my toes have been hurting lately. I took out my insoles and found this:

I guess that explains why my toes are hurting.
Here's the weird question... the rest of the shoe looks fine, it's just the insoles that are worse for wear. These are hi-tec shoes, and I'm wondering if there's any way to get replacement insoles for them.
TIA,
Leigh

So, this happened to me a few weeks ago.
I was going to return a shot against the back wall, but my opponent was plastered against the back wall right where I would have been hitting. If I'd hit it against the back wall I would have smacked him, so of course I didn't. I actually thought the ball hit him when bouncing off the back wall, but he claimed it didn't. At any rate, I couldn't take the shot off the back wall and he ended up taking the point. I probably could have taken the shot if I'd been turned around and hitting it towards the front wall, but by the time I realized it, it was too late.
So, would that be a hinder since I could have taken a shot, but I couldn't take the shot I was set up and prepared to take?

This is a Weight Watcher's recipe, but it's really good.
It says to serve it with polenta, which we did last time, but rice works well too. Another thing I did differently was to saute the vegetables first, as it says to do, then transfer them to the slow cooker. Then I used the same pan to brown the pork, poured the chicken broth over, and added the tomatillos and spices to that. Then transfer that into the slow cooker. I think it speeds up the cooking a bit to get those ingredients warmed through, and you get a nice fond (stuff stuck to the bottom of the pan, that gets deglazed with the broth). That gives it a nice taste.
I've also cooked the whole thing in a dutch oven over a stove burner instead of the crock pot. It only takes about 30 minutes to cook if you do that.
Slow Cooker Chili Verde
Servings: 4
Preparation Time: 25 min
Cooking Time: 425 min
Level of Difficulty: Moderate
This pork and vegetable green chili is delicious over polenta but you can spoon it over two cups of canned, heated pinto or kidney beans if you prefer.
Ingredients
1 medium poblano chile
1 tbsp canola oil, or 1 1/2 tsp each canola and olive oil
1 small onion(s), diced (about 1 cup)
1 large garlic clove(s), minced
1 medium zucchini, trimmed and diced
1 pound(s) lean pork tenderloin, cut into 1-inch chunks
1 cup(s) chopped tomatillos, about 3 small husked tomatillos
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper, or 1/4 tsp chipotle chile powder
1/4 tsp dried oregano, crushed
1 tsp table salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 cup(s) fat-free chicken broth
8 1/2 oz polenta, use half of a 17 oz prepared polenta log
Instructions
• Place poblano chile over open flame of stovetop and roast until browned all over, turning with metal tongs, about 5 minutes total. (Note: If you have an electric range, broil chile, turning every few minutes, until browned.) Place chile in a resealable plastic bag; close and set aside.
• Heat oil in a large skillet. Add onion, garlic and zucchini; sauté over high heat, stirring frequently, until tender, about 3 to 5 minutes. Spoon vegetables into a 3- to 5-quart slow cooker; add pork and tomatillos.
• Remove chile from bag and hold chile under running water; scrape off skin with fingers. Chop chile and add to slow cooker; add cumin, cayenne or chile powder, oregano, salt, pepper and broth. Cover and cook stew on low for 6 to 7 hours.
• Cut polenta into small pieces; place in a microwave-safe serving bowl. Microwave on HIGH until polenta is hot and tender, about 2 minutes. Mash polenta and then beat with a spoon to a fluffy consistency. Spoon stew over polenta and serve. Yields about 1 cup of chili and 1/4 of polenta per serving

Is this common, or is it just me?
This week I played every day Sunday-Friday for 1.5 hours a day. I was doing really well at the beginning of the week, felt like I was making some improvements.
But, Thursday and Friday I just sucked big time. I was playing with two ladies I play with a lot, and I usually do very well against them. I was really struggling just to get points by the end of the week though. I didn't really feel like I was playing differently, but my reaction time was off, I kept swinging and missing, and my shot placement was crap.
Is this something that happens when you play too much, or have I lost my mojo? :o)

refuse to play someone who wasn't wearing protective eye wear?
Just curious. Is it legit to refuse, or do you just figure it's their eyes, their decision?

Just thought I'd post that WPRO on Facebook is posting/has posted some short video clips of the Stockton matches.
Friend WPRO and check it out.

A friend of mine just wrote and told me that she'd had a fall playing racquetball and ended up with a concussion. She wanted to know if I knew of any sort of lightweight head protection that she could wear, because now she's nervous that it will happen again.
I've never seen anybody wearing a helmet to play, and the only thing I can think of is a bike helmet or a skating helmet?
Anyone know of a suitable head protector?
Thanks!

I should know this, but I don't...
On the serve does the ball have to completely pass the short line?
Do I have this right?:
