Has anyone tried both? Looks like the new one doesn't come with power plugs and the power level has gone up 100 and seems to have changed from head light to even balance? Is there much difference??
How does the white compare in weight and balance to the speedport Camo??
Thanks
Looking at the current line up of Ektelon racquets it seems that the only one with a 'head light' balance is the o3 white.
The new Attack lite on one site says it's 4 points head heavy, one site says it's 6 points head heavy and on the Ektelon site it says it's even balance???
I use a speedport camo which is slightly head light so looking for a suitable replacement. i tried the new speedport red but it was definitely heavier.
any suggestions????
I string the Speedport Camo in one piece, copying the pattern from the O3 white, but can the O3 black and EXO3 Attacks be done 1 piece?? The Ektelon website only shows 2 piece options. I know it may invalidate the warranty etc but was wondering if it's possible?
I know the last 2 they launched were the Ignite and Attack, but was wondering is there a particular month for new racquet launches? i.e. when are we likely to see some new models come out this year?
Ashaway are bringing out a new 19g powernick squash string which is 19g and i believe the thickness is 1.05mm. I know durability would be an issue but would the playability be fantastic??
I see Ektelon have brought out a couple of new bats, one with the more recent stringing pattern, one with the older o3 black/red pattern. Has anyone demoed these yet or even bought one and how do they compare to previous models??
My speedport camo is cracked so will need to replace soon. Like the lightness of head so looking for a similar replacement.
My dad is about to upgrade from the the old O3 red and wondered if anyone had any advice on which one to go for of these 3?
He likes the light head of the 03 red but would like more power.
I know people's opinions on racquets are different but still interested to hear people's thoughts. Unfortuantely living in the UK, there is no opportunity to play test them.
Site looks great now. Very professional and love the new style font etc. Good job!
Just noticed some o3 blues for sale and it says 'new' and has a power rating of 3200 which is 500 more than the o3 red. Is this a new racquet that has just come out to replace the old o3 blue??
I've tried to change my Avatar since the new style forum was launched a few weeks ago but it just doesn't seem to work. I've even tried really basic images which would be only a few pixels. Any advice??
Are there any benefits of a 17g string over an 18g other than the obvious durability? Will there be more 'feel' on the ball as the strings will be very slightly closer together or is it always worth going for the 18g string if duarbility is not a concern??
Has anyone tried either of these yet? I've just received a reel of each so will be trying them very soon in my Ektelon Speedport racket. Just wondering if anyone can compare them to other Ashaway strings or the X one TF string?
Are any of the top players playing with these yet? (petrol blue or optic green are the colours)
Anyone switched from the Sppedport to the new Exo?
Much difference in weight, balance, power or touch??
I'm a little concerned that having no bumper strip on my Speedport camo, that eventually the racquet will wear down and start rubbing the strings which will basically be the end of the racket.
Is there a good tape anyone can recommend, I see Ektekon do one but i can't find it anywhere.
Any real difference between these apart from the shape of the speedport holes?
Stringing pattern looks pretty similar ( know there is a slight difference) but playability wise, same weight etc??
I know there are various threads on this topic but i wondered if anyone had any difinitive thoughts on the best way to do the 03 Camo. On their website, there is only one pattern for this racket, a 2 pice option with 14 main, 17 crosses but on the 03 white there are loads of options inc 1 piece stringing. Are there many differences between 1 and 2 piece, which is better and would you do the 14 mains, 12 mains or 16 mains?? and why?!
Anyone playing with this (or the red obviously)
How does it compare to the 03 white or 03 red??
Looks to have a very high power rating.
Is there a lot of difference between these 2 rackets (other than power holes)
I play with 03 red and am considering upghrading to 03 white and keeping the 03 red as a spare??
Sorry, bit of a novice to the sport as have played squash (in the UK) for 25 years and just switching to racquetball
