Wheather due to your opponent being careless or not looking where he's hitting because of a wide angle pass causing him to do a 360 and return off the back wall or you just being out of position, contact with the ball happens one way or another every now and then. So being that i have gotten hit twice by carelessness over the past 3 weeks with some nasty bruises left over i decided to snap a few pics. Lets see what you guys/girls out there have to show. Maybe administrators could sticky this to the top for a topic deticated to pictures of brusies and injuries from being hit by a ball/racquet that other members can add also. So enough said bring on the black n blue, welts, and impact hits on the body from hard shots that one way or another made it to your body before the wall.
These here were by a solid open level player.......Let me say this, i got hit so hard that i didnt even feel the intital impact but seconds later that numb burning tingle came on strong and left me sore in that spot for days. Sucks but its part of the beast.....
Forehand..........this was this morning so the bruises havent developed that well yet

Backhand.........this bruised all the way up my hamstring and also bruised into the front of my leg(freakin hurt)

Im going to be in South florida(broward county) from September 24th until the end of the month on a vacation and was looking for some competition with some fellow members while visiting the sunshine state. I grew up in broward most of my life so im familiar with all surrounding area's down there. Im looking for A/elite players to hit with. If you want to set something up for some matches while im down then just leave me a message or post here. Thanks in advance..........

So yesterday i picked up my first set of these new Pro Penn HD's(purples) and have already seen a few reviews/comments on them but really payed no attention to it. It is by far my favorite ball in terms of consistency on the bounce, speed, and just an overall great ball. Well when i opened the case it released this hot burnt rubber smell and i thought thats odd but again thought nothing of it and stepped into the court. I snapped the first ball in the first 20 minutes of drilling with a DTL backhand and Long story short within 1 1/2hrs this is what i had gone through.................

Now i am no pro but i do have a solid powerful shot but this is ridiculous to be able to go through 2 cases in that short period of time. I will also add that all these breaks were result of a solid shot and not one was broken due to frame contact. The pro's are going to go through these within 5 minutes i guarantee it. What im hoping is that i got 2 cases of sour balls and this is just a fluke but only time will tell. These new HD's also play quite a bit faster and have a more inconsistant bounce off the walls than the older ones and i wasnt thrilled with that either. If this is in fact the way they are going to be then i will be the first to say that Penn will have to take that ''Worlds #1 selling brand'' off there cases and replace it with ''Worlds wors't selling ball''. Needless to say im pretty disappointed and i really hope they resolve this issue if it continues.

Well a few of the motorcycle forums i have been on for years and years has come up with a section specifically dedicated to ''Smack Talk'' called Smack Talk because of all the competition with drag and grudge racing. I think it would be an awesome idea to have that idea become reality on this forum here. SMACK TALK SECTION where gloves are off and anything goes within reason and rules of MNP. What you guys think????? can we make it happen?????
ChrisCoupe........
It actually has several meanings.............
Gear Box Whining Moaners.........
Gear Box Womens Material.........
Gear Box Wasted Material.........I have a few others but you guys can come up with a few also. All in good fun guys, all in good fun...........
Again thanks Manny for the hook up with those shoes and the great customer support. Shipping was fast and was delivered same day i was told it should be here.
As for the shoes, now i have some personal tests with them.......
Adidas Stabil S.......Hi-Tec SYS 4
The Stabil S is a great shoe period and definetly a great buy for someone with a wide instep because my foot has a very wide instep and the shoe fit me perfect. Sticks like glue on the court but i did notice it doesnt have quite as much roll support as the Hi-tecs SYS 4 for example. One of the hottest looking shoes on the market in my opinion even though i didnt buy them for style the shoe could be worn outside the court aswell. My foot was well padded from front to back inside the shoe and all the padding was in just the right spots. Did notice that the shoe when i first stepped on the court was a bit stiff but after about 10 minutes of play it started to break in and felt smooth as ever. Again one of the more expensive shoes for racquetball but great buy and i would recommend it to anyone looking for a new shoe or transition from one company to another.
As for the roll support as i mentioned before, the shoe is a touch more rounded then the hi-tec and my personal preference is to have it this way. Reason being goes back to my motorcycle racing as i have tested many tires to find the best and stickiest ones on the market. No need to mention brands here as this doesnt matter but lets just say we have tire A and tire B. Tire A sticks great and has a very good traction feel when riding in the curves tucked hard using the furthest point of the wall that can be used to left or right side. Tire A sticks great but when your using the tire to hard and it cant handle anymore it starts to slide out from under you a bit but not so harsh that you dont have a chance to realize whats going on and correct your mistake stopping an accident for yourself. Tire B performs exactly the same as tire A but only difference with tire B is when you make that mistake of riding to low and using the wall of the tire to hard it slides out from under you with no warning and gives you no chance to correct your mistake causing you to bust ass and put you out of the race. Tire A here was the Adidas Stabil S and tire B was the Hi-tec SYS 4 and the reason i compared them like that was because they were the only 2 shoes in front of me to compare. Both of them are in the top shoes on the market for the sport but i felt that the adidas offered a bit more for my needs.
The Hi-tec was definetly a close second because i felt it had more specified technology involved with the shoe but i do recommend if you order them and have a wide instep go with a half size bigger because the toe is a bit narrow for my foot and the adidas fit fine with both being same size shoes. The left side of the left shoe and the right side of the with the Hi-tecs are much more squared than the Adidas. When i put one shoe on each foot and rolled my ankles outwards the adidas didnt provide quite as much support as the Hi-tecs but in a sense i liked that because i could actually feel when they started to give. The Hi-tecs being sooo squared off gave me great support when i rolled them outwards but when they did finally roll on me they rolled very very hard that i would assume would probably snap my ankle. Now dont get me wrong i have bad ankles and dont get on the court without wearing ankle protection so this is probably more noted to the player who just wears shoes and no ankle protection. Picture it like this you have a flat surface in front of you and you have a square block and a circle ball. Now roll them back and forth, the circle ball will roll very smooth and allow corrections much easier but if you roll the square block when it tips to far to one side it slams over and there is no chance to fix mistake and thats how i felt in the shoes with the Adidas being circle ball and Hi-tecs being square block. Just kinda scared me because of how hard it would roll if i went over the limit and thats why im stressing it so much. Im going to stop blabbing on now but hands down to both shoes as ordering either one you couldnt go wrong with. Im considering keeping both of them and just rotating back and forth between the 2 pairs but going a half size up with the Hi-tecs.
Here is a few side by side comparison photos and some close up measurements.........(Shoe size seen is 11 1/2)

Hey guys,
Chris here and i figured what could be a better first post then to introduce myself officially. Been hanging around here for quite some time ever since i started playing but never signed up and I've had lots of questions answered along with picking up tips, strategy, and very good logistics from info and vids on the site. Great site and look forward to me being a great addition to it. Im an official racquetball addict and i can honestly say i play 6-7 days a week for a minimum of 2 hours up to 4-5 hours in each session. I also weight lift about 30-45 minutes every other day and originally started out playing for some fast weight loss but became very very competitive and hooked to boot.
I started with Eketelon and ended up trying a few others but the moment i picked up and hit with E-force i was sold. Knowing im in it for the long haul i grabbed a demo command and loved it so my racquet currently is a 160g Command. Im 26 years old and think i have a very good future in racquetball assuming no injuries put me out for good. I have been playing for about 5 months now and i feel like im developing fast due to the fact that i started playing with A's, Elites, Open, and even a semi pro(teaching me more and more every game) here at my club. I purposly have kinda been playing people better then me as i feel every game is an education wheather it be questions or watching movements from them and its paying off. I also play a few people that did play just about my speed but over the last month i have been placing a gap on them and some of the A's that i play with informed me of it even though i had no idea.
Everyone i play with from when i have started tells me that my game is coming around very fast and that just makes me want to play even more and more. I set a goal for myself that within 2 years of playing id like to be a solid A player and i think at the rate im going it should be achievable. We have a decent amount of players at my club and i think a little bit of playing everyone has taught me alot in the short time but i have alot to learn yet and look forward to doing a fair share of that learning here, aside from being in the court. Hell maybe one day ill be one of the old farts like some of you guys with all the racquetball wisdom to teach the newbs but until then ill be here to learn and maybe even answer some questions too. Well enough of me blabbing on and on hope to see you guys around.........
