COME DOWN AND PLAY AT NEWPORT BEACH IN THIS END OF THE YEAR DOUBLES SHOOTOUT, ON SUNDAY DECEMBER THE 18TH. THE SHOOTOUT WILL START AT 9AM WITH CHECK INS AT 8:30, I KNOW THIS IS EARLY BUT WE HAVE A LIMITED TIME DUE TO COURTS AND LIGHT. That was a great ceremony, really well done and professional, even down to the ribbon cutting. It's nice to see such a warm reception by all, great speech by Scott Winters from Ektelon, JMAN as well, and all of the dignitaries who got up and gave speeches. I think it's really great that the event has found such a good home where the community is thrilled to have them.

The Marina Park doubles shootout is on Saturday May 7th. This is a doubles shootout for the Pro/Open division only, sorry no lower division for this event, however everyone is encouraged to come out and play. Registration is at 10:30 am with play beginning at 11:00 am. The event is a round robin event. The event directors are Jesus and Robert Martinez so please contact them with any questions that you might have at justarroz@hotmail.com. The event is $20.00 and you must be a current WOR member. Eye protection must be worn at all times during play. This is the last shootout before the big summer events start up so come out and get your last shootout in.
