Las Vegas, Nevada; March 1, 2012 – 3 Wallball, LLC has announced the creation of the 3 Wallball Cup Championship Series, an extension of the highly successful 3 Wallball World Championships which have been held in Las Vegas since 2010. Beginning in the Spring of 2012, the 3 Wallball Cup Championship Series will include the WOR Warm-Ups (June; Huntington Beach, CA), the WOR Championships (July; Huntington Beach, CA) and the 3 Wallball World Championships (September; Las Vegas, NV).
Men and Women professional racquetball players will compete at each of the three Series events and accumulate points toward the naming of a Series Champion. Each Series Champion (one man and one woman) will earn a cash prize of $500 and a weekend Suite Package at the Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower in Las Vegas. Points can be earned in each of the professional divisions (Pro Singles, Pro Doubles, Pro Mixed Doubles, and CPRT Doubles) with players earning points based on their best finish in up to three divisions at each of the three events. The 3 Wallball World Championships will have bonus points awarded and should at the conclusion of the final event a tie in points exist for the title, in the true spirit of Las Vegas, cards will be cut on the Championship Court with the high card being awarded the 3 Wallball Cup Series Championship. Woody Clouse returns to Minneapolis to defend his CPRT title at the 2011 US OPEN as the top seed, opening play on Friday afternoon against a qualifier. Seeded second will be Jimmy Lowe followed by Mike Ray and Travis Aldinger. Fifth seed is Dale Valentine, then Brad McCunniff, Ted Pittinaro and Richard Eisenmann rounding out the top eight. A field of 28 players from four countries will battle for the eight qualifying spots in Friday's round of 16. Follow all the action beginning Wednesday on R2 Sports.

The Classic Professional Racquetball Tour (CPRT) closes out the 2010-11 season with the CPRT Nationals April 8 – 10 at the Las Vegas Athletic Club.
A CPRT draw of 16 will face off for the largest purse of the season and bonus ranking points in the season finale. Leading the lineup will be the top two ranked CPRT players; Woody Clouse of Highlands Ranch, CO and Cliff Swain of Boston, MA. Seeded third will be Hawaii’s Jimmy Lowe and rounding out the top four will be Californian Craig Lane. Louis Vogel, Gerry Price, Dale Valentine and Bobby Ferreira follow as the next four seeds. The draw will be loaded with some of the region’s top 40 and over players taking their best shot at the CPRT professionals. Play begins with round of 16 starting at Noon Friday followed by the quarterfinals Friday evening. Semi-final action continues at Noon Saturday morning with a 6:00pm Saturday CPRT final. A full slate of amateur singles and doubles divisions with over 150 entries will fill out a great weekend that will benefit the National Fibromyalgia Research Association.
The CPRT returns to Upstate New York this weekend for the longest running CPRT event, the Penfield Pro-Am in Rochester. This event has traditionally come down to the top two CPRT pros jockeying for position leading up to the CPRT Nationals next month in Las Vegas. Cliff Swain will try to hold the number one spot but defending champion Woody Clouse took this event over Swain last year in five games; it was one of the best CPRT matches of the season. Rounding out the top seeds are fan favorite Jimmy Lowe at number three and Mike Ray seeded fourth.

The CPRT resumes play this weekend returning for the fifth straight year to Rochester for the Penfield Pro-Am. After a long break following the US Open the top five CPRT touring pros are anxious to get into action on Friday night. CPRT Pros Host Charity Events
In the spirit of CPRT's mission to give back to the sport and to our communities, CPRT pros will be hosting charity events at their home clubs this Holiday Season. The first of these will be December 12th at Club Sport San Ramon (CA) where Gerry Price will host the Toys for Tots Doubles One Day Shootout. Bret Harnett and Mike Coulter will host the Las Vegas Toy Drive Tournament that same weekend to benefit Safe Nest. Watch for additional information on other events hosted by the CPRT pros around the country.
