I found this article on MSN. It's nice to see that almost half of the facilities listed offer racquetball.

Has anyone on here been to any of these locations?
Not bad. Kane's ranked at 18 already...

Perhaps it is just the angle that I am seeing the game at but I see some serious encroachment happening. Why isn't the ref calling it? It looks like both girls are doing it. Like I said it may just be the camera angle but when I see either girl standing with their feet almost on the line and taking a full swing I don't see how it couldn't be....

Is anyone else seeing this or am I just wrong?
There's a photo topic on MSNBC where readers can post pictures of them and their favorite professional athlete. I am sure a lot of us here have pictures of us and our favorite r'ball player. Let's post them here and help spread the word about our awesome sport!

Ok, I'm not the more patient person, so it's killing me that the tournament calendar for my state isn't out yet! I checked some of the surrounding states and most other states at least have some of the dates set and posted. So when do the tournament schedules normally come out?
I am all for spreading the sport but this guy should just put down the racuqet and walk away.

I have been running a ladder on MYRPL since the end of January. So far I only have 12 players. Most of them have been active with only 2 stragglers. I feel like I've hit a road block. I am working hard to get more people involved but it hasn't been working. I have put up several flyers around my club with tear offs so people can take the website and information home with them which I always seem to be replacing. That tells me that people are interested enough in looking into it. How can I get them interested enough into taking the next step and joining? I have stressed that this is for players of all skill levels. I even put up a flyer that says I need more beginner players. So far I only have 2 beginners and am trying to find them more people of their skill level to play with so they don't get discouraged. I have also stressed to people that this is very low commitment, they set their own schedules to fit their availability. I even have those people that come up to me and say that they are planning on joining the ladder but haven't gotten around to it. The only thing that is keeping me from getting very discouraged is that someone came up to me while playing last night and said I was doing a good job at trying to revitalize racquetball in the area. Any ideas on how to get more people interested and playing? :-({|=
Jason, could you tell me if the pros are allowed to give interviews? I am thinking about starting a racquetball newsletter in my area. It would be great to have an interview with some of the pros to get interest up. Any thoughts?

I am also having troubles with an overzealous player. The problem is when we're playing doubles and we're on the same team! Maybe it's my mistake to think that when you're on the same team you're suppose to work together. #-o He's a B player and I am a strong C. He thinks his main advantage is that he is very quick and can get to almost everything. But in my opinion this can be a major disadvantage to playing with him. Since he is so quick he tries to get to everything! Including things that his partner (me) has a perfect set up for. He's one of those players who will be covering the front of the court and instead of letting the ball go by him for his partner he runs to the back of the court to get it. Almost every time he will actually run in between me and the front wall to get to the ball. This even happens when I call the shot!! I was getting pretty mad at him thinking he was doing this because I am not as strong of a player as he is, but I watched him play with others on the same level as he is and he does the same thing to them. They seem to deal with it ok (and they agree with me) but I am really about to blow my top. I have even tried not to be on the same team as him but I always get stuck with him. I have been trying not to make a big deal about it but it is really irking me. A prime example of my frustration was last night. In the first game we played I had called several shots that he ran across the court to get. I asked him after the game if he had not heard me. He said that he had heard me but thought he would have a better shot. This is after I am already in position and set to return the ball, racquet raised and everything. In the second game I had a sweet set up off the back wall to my backhand. I went to take the shot since my partner was up front. Or so I thought. It ends up that while I was following the ball around and took my eye off of him he had ran to the back of the court and was going to take the shot off of the back wall. So I ended up hitting him almost in the throat with a powerful backhand. Needless to say he was a bit stunned. It took so much for me to mumble a sorry, but I really don't think that I was at fault. Oh and thanks to that it was a side out. Am I just complaining here for no reason? Is there something I should be doing that I'm not? Suggestions on how to handle this are welcome….
Hello all,

I just wanted to share my good news. As some of you may know I have been trying to set up a racquetball clinic in my area. Unfortunately due to personal reasons and time constraints my plans have been delayed a bit. To keep myself focused on doing this I have decided to set up a racquetball ladder at my local club. Lately I have noticed more people than usual taking an interest in the sport so I wanted to take advantage of that. I have posted several flyers at my club and have asked several friends to help spread the word. It has only been one day since I set this up and I already have 5 members. I hope to have about 15-20 people joined by the time it starts in mid February. So thanks for reading my post and sharing in my good news. I’ll keep everyone posted as to how it goes.

P.S. If anyone here is from upstate NY that would like to join this ladder PM me!
I am looking for new people to play in the Poughkeepsie area. I would prefer a female B player. There aren't any women who play at my gym in the evenings, so I usually just play with the guys that are there. However I would like to start playing matches with women to better prepare me for my upcoming tournaments. Anyone interested?
