I want to thank Raul for a great event...in Connecticut.
Met great people...and MANY NEW players to outdoor.

Nice job bro!

Elli is the man! Along with the whole gang...from Allan, to Hank, Thunder and Jimbo, to Vic and the whole Florida Gang, to all the reps (Gearbox baby:) ), players and friends. I would be able to go on and on thanking and giving props for the something special you all added to this weekend. So I will just deeply say...Thank you.

I've seen quite a bit of Outdoor but I can honestly say I saw some of the best play ever this weekend. I can't remember getting out of my seat like I did while watching that Kirch kid. He and Orr played with smiles on their faces and showed what the spirit of play SHOULD be. I thank them for affirming that for me!

Relatedly, I enjoyed being on the court with players who are respectful and gentlemen. Alvi and Chris: Gentlemen. Son and Josh, also true gentlemen. (Instead of ranting when my inexperience was affecting the play of the game, they spoke to me as peers should speak on the court...and continued in the spirit of competition. If I had just traveled just to play those guys....it would have been worth it. (But the fantastic part is that there was so much more!)

Peters and Booth: In 2005, I went to Golden West for Nationals. I had heard much about this team. (Being a part of a team that has worked on similarly getting it right, I was curious.) I remember watching them play Ken Kaiser and McMasters in the first round and being in awe of just how technical the 3 wall game can be. Since then, I've seen how they had underachieved either because of injury or self-implosions on the court. But always in the back of my mind knowing that they had the right formula. Well this weekend confirmed it. Booth managed to not go too far with dwelling on points played and allowed his mastery of the game to show. That's ALL they needed...with Peters being the perfect deuce court partner, allowing Booth to lead, being where he needed to be and stepping in to carry the team when he needed to...the formula kicked in. (Note: I consider them friends. They've always been great with me...and totally helped me out during my matches this weekend with advice that I really did try to apply...so I'm grateful.)

Guys...you were due! Two big divisions. National Champions.

I want to say more...but I'm a bit tired. Some stuff along the lines of Clubber and Solis going as far as they can together and just sometimes you have to move on to keep with your potential. (Clubber.)...Or Jason and Cliff...I expected greatness and saw it. Or, man, that Paola is good...sheesh. Or, Jose Diaz, Sheesh Sheesh!, Or Pineda...too cool kid.

Again...WOR...thanks.

A mainstay of any major tournament!
Booking flights...making arrangements.

I hate long flights but am realizing now how much I'm looking forward to seeing everyone. Jesus, Zeus, Clubber, Greg, Brian, Rocky, Davis really EVERYONE. Just being around those big courts...the food...the smiles. Can't wait to sit back and take it all in.

The Florida crew should be big in attendance and sharing that with them is something I'm also looking forward to...they have all truly been hospitable and great to be round.

Big Rod...you still getting skinny?...lol. Soon brah.

Still no story on Vic's wonderful tourney. I think it's because no one from Florida or Cali won it.

(I'm kidding of course.)

Believe it or not...I miss the Florida and Cali gangs. I can' wait to see everyone again...I'm guessing it will be at Nationals. Rob and I will be playing in it this year...with a little more experience on 3 Walls. Also, I'm expecting some barn burners between Florida and Cali this year.

I'm looking at flights already:).
